As far as the rest of the world is concerned, the stats show 60 percent rise in mobile apps, and the forecast states that it will still grow to 80 percent in the next 12 months. This is only peoples mobile app interest statistics; however, according to the research undertook by ABI market intelligence company, there are over 29 billion mobile apps downloaded and used in 2014. The interesting fact here is that most of the mobile apps belong to Android and iOS; however, with the entry of the innovative Windows Phone 8 mobile platform, the usage is going to rise tremendously.

Considering the fact that smartphones are going to be the future technology market for businesses, mobile app developers all across the world have changed their attitude towards application development. The mobile app developers who thrived with their proficiency have now started to explore into the depths of the multiple mobile platform as well as cross-platform app development. Most of the software development companies that were focused on providing custom development solutions are now shifted towards mobile app development because of profitable aspects. In addition, these development companies can also cater for the needs of a mobile website that helps businesses achieve better prospects.

Mobile app developers always felt the need for right tools that would enable them to cater for specific mobile solutions on a discrete platform. However, this need is also sufficed by various mobile operating system developers, offering them different tools and SDK (Software Development Kit). In addition, some companies also released a mobile development framework such as PhoneGap, Appcelerator, Sencha, Mosync, etc. that enables mobile app developers to cater for cross-platform mobile solution.

Google Glass - The Future of Technology

New categories of electronic gadgets really do not come along much. One example of the last few years is the iPhone. The iPad is possibly another. One potentially groundbreaking new product that is in development is Google Glass.

That is the name for the Google prototype device that you wear on the face like a pair of reading glasses. Actually, Google is not fond of the term 'glasses' for the product. There are not actually any lenses in Google Glass.

In reality, Google Glass resembles the headband from a pair of reading glasses. This is the part that hooks on the ears and lies along the line of the eyebrows. There is a small, transparent window that is to the top right of the right eye. That is the screen for Glass, which is in reality a full-featured computer. Or, think of it as a smart phone that you never have to pull from your pocket.

The product was first demonstrated by Google in a video in April 2012, and it has received a lot of buzz. It also was featured at Google's I/O Conference in May. Glass got a lot of hype as attendees saw a live video feed from Glass as a sky diver jumped out of an airplane and onto the conference building roof. But to this point, very few people in the public have been able to try on Glass.

Recently, a New York Times reporter was able to try them on. Google stressed that Google Glass is still in an early stage. Many aspects of the product are not finalized, including what it will do, how the interface will look, how it works, and more. Google is not interested in getting the public too excited about a feature of the product that may not be there in the end. The search giant has stated that it intends to offer prototypes in 2013 for $1500. Glass will be sold to the public in 2014.

According to the reporter, the device is incredibly light, actually less than a pair of sunglasses. In the right ear piece, there is the memory, processor, speaker, camera, microphone, battery, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi antennas. All in that earpiece!

One of the biggest surprises is that the little screen above your right eye is totally invisible when you are driving, reading or talking. You actually forget about it. But when you focus on the little screen, the tiny display really seems as if you are looking at a large desktop monitor. According to the reporter who tried out the prototype, the display floats at the correct distance so that you do not need to use your reading glasses.

Google says that down the road, Glass is going to feature a radio and will be able to get online. You will be able to surf the Internet with Google Glass. Also, as small and light as the prototype is, it only will get smaller in later generations of the product.

It is too early to predict if Google Glass will succeed or not, or what the exact features will be, but we know that Google Glass will not replace reading glasses. Fortunately, there is an excellent Website - Reading Glass World - where you can find the largest assortment of reading glasses anywhere online.

Home Alarm Systems Of The Future

Todays home security systems protect our homes in ways never thought possible. Every day researchers and security specialists are looking to new scientific discoveries, criminal psychologists, and even science fiction, to develop technologies to keep you and your family safe. It might be an interesting exercise to see how technologies of the future might influence security technologies that might be available someday.

Todays modern home alarm systems rely on actions taken against doors, windows, and other entry points of homes as the first line of defense. But what if there was a way to stop criminals before they even entered the perimeter of your home? One potential technology for this is cameras that can recognize faces of people in the immediate vicinity. These cameras could then use facial recognition technology to match the profiles of people recognize with potential criminal threats. Of course, this kind of technology raises numerous privacy concerns. As a society, do we really want closed circuit cameras on every house and in every backyard? Where is all this data going, and who monitors it?

One interesting technology that was science fiction just a few years ago is known as active denial technology. This actually has a lot in common with the so-called pain rays of science fiction. This technology uses microwaves to heat the water just under human skin, producing a sensation which supposedly mimics touching a hot light bulb, but all over a persons body. The highest security government sites are mulling over the use of this technology to protect their sensitive facilities. What if someday private homes could be protected by this technology? At the moment, this seems like a highly dangerous technology for a home security system that could easily be turned to malevolent ends. However, stranger things have happened.

Another potential wave of the future technology could be a panic button that releases a knockout gas inside a home where there is an intruder. Members of the family - and of course their pets - could be regularly given the antidote to the gas, which would be released when the panic button is triggered by a homeowner. One also thinks of the classic laser-triggered alarm systems of James Bond and other heist movies, in which criminals would need incredible gymnastic skills to penetrate the perimeter of ones home, even if one doesnt exactly have the Hope Diamond sitting in the middle of the living room.

Although these particular technologies do not yet exist, there are some truly remarkable security technologies on the market today that reflect a world where criminals are getting smarter and more ruthless every day. For instance, workers at the attorney generals office in Mexico, where crime and corruption are widespread, have had security ID chips implanted under their skin which they use to gain access to their offices. The future may be here sooner than you think!

Embedded system -Technology of Future

Embedded system: Have you ever thought to control a car without driver through your i-pod or to operate a machine by sitting hundred kilometers far from it? Seems like magic but this magic is seems to come true in upcoming years with Real Time operating systems and Embedded system. A specialized computer system that is part of a larger system or machine. Typically, an embedded system is housed on a single microprocessor board with the programs stored in ROM.

Virtually all appliances that have a digital interface -- watches, microwaves, cars -- utilize embedded systems. In simple words an embedded system is a computer system designed for specific control functions within a larger system, often with real-time computing constraints. It is embedded as part of a complete device often including hardware and mechanical parts. By contrast, a general-purpose computer, such as a personal computer/Laptop is designed to be flexible and to meet a wide range of end-user needs. Embedded system range from no user interface at all - dedicated only to one task - to complex graphical user interfaces that resemble modern computer desktop operating systems. Simple embedded devices use buttons, LEDs graphic or character LCDs (for example popular HD44780 LCD) with a simple menu system.

More sophisticated devices which use a graphical screen with touch sensing or screen-edge buttons provide flexibility while minimizing space used: the meaning of the buttons can change with the screen, and selection involves the natural behavior of pointing at what's desired. Handheld systems often have a screen with a "joystick button" for a pointing device. Embedded system Technology is the future .so anybody who have the command over Embedded system would be the command over Future. Anybody with sheer Programming and operating system knowledge can Learn the technology of embedded .There are many institutions and academies are active in Delhi NCR who provide various courses on Embedded system. Embedded Training in Delhi NCR will pamper your knowledge and increase the chance of future command higher.

Future Tech Its Already Here

The 20th and 21st century saw some (and continues to see) some truly awesome advancements in technology. With tech news in 2012 alone, we witnessed a tablet war take place between tech giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Samsung and reigning champion Apple. Still, they continue to battle it out, keeping technology news filled with entertaining lawsuits. Geeks the world over are very happy and content with all the tech news flooding in, allowing us to compare spec data on whats best to buy.

Thus far in 2013, we are witnessing (and desperately trying to save money) influxes of revolutionary technology quickly flow onto store shelves. But, lets take a look back at what was predicted around 30 or so years ago; and the best place to start, believe it or not, is the movie Back to the Future Part II.

Future Tech Prediction #1 - Societys Obsession with 3D

One memorable moment of the movie, among many others, was when Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) first arrives in the future, and begins scanning the familiar, yet different surroundings he is used to. In one scene, we see him in front of the theatre gawking at the advert for Jaws 19 suddenly coming to life off digital screen in super 3D!

Well, its safe to say that they nailed this one right on the head - 3D is a huge hit today; so much so, the world has now an option to buy a 3D television. Almost every major movie with blockbuster status will be shown in 3D, and we even see it on some of our favorite television series for that little extra kick in ratings.

 Prediction #2 Hand Held Computers

Yes, hand held computers - or as we call them today, tablets. If there is one thing that Apple taught us and taught us well is technology can actually shrink in dimensions, while producing truly remarkable gadgets gadgets most of us today, couldnt possibly imagine living without!

 Prediction #3 Video Conferencing

Although talking through computers is nothing new for the sci-fi genre; in the movie we got to see old McFly chat with Needles through a large FLAT TV mounted on the wall. Talk about killing two tech predictions with one stone!

Prediction #4 Our Complete Obsession with Electronics

Yeap. They nailed this one to. We see the family, grandparents included, surround by and utilising every piece of tech at their disposal. We see the very familiar instances where dinner conversations are completely shut out for the purposes of communicating in another fashion. Unfortunately, it looks like we are stuck in electronic gadget mode for the long haul.

I know what you are all thinking. One particular piece of future tech in the film we all dreamed of owning, which is the completely awesome and totally wicked cool pink hoverboard. Well guess what folks its almost here! Almost as in half way there a French artist by the name of Nils Guadagnin recreated the hoverboard, and it works! However, it only works if nobody stands on it, but thats beside the point. The board floats through simple electromagnetism, and if we know anything about major toy corporations, then its safe to say they already have their eye on the board, and are no doubt offering Guadagnin a gazillion dollars. So, for now the hoverboard remains a future tech piece of wonderful, but simply put its on the way!
